"I have taken my scion here for years for oil changes and service. I have noticed quality of service has depleated. The last oil change I had they didnt check any of my fluids and my antifreeze ended up being practically empty. It makes me question if they actually changed my oil that i paid them to do."
"I'm sad to say I'm writing this review from another toyota service center. I've been going to this location since I bought my car in 2017. They're customer service and quality of work has always been consistently high. I'm disappointed to say I experienced a lapse in that quality. 6 months ago during routine service I had a number of items reported back that could use replacement/repair. I decided, since they weren't urgent, to simply save up and do it next time. However, when I recently went in for my regular appointment nothing was reported back to me as requiring attention. I inquired and was told we could "take care of those next time." It seemed off to me given the last appointment's recommendations. Additionally, they were pretty busy but seemingly without people, and ultimately i felt like my car hadn't even been inspected. To their credit I received a phone call that day asking about my experience. I let the person know what happened and was informed the GM is doubling as the Service Manager. I've worked with dealerships in the past and can say those two jobs are both distinct and demanding. Again, as a credit to them I was invited back to get some of the previously recommended replacements done free of charge (filters only). I very much appreciate the follow up calls and quick action on the part of the GM to try to fix the situation. Unfortunately, one of the items needing replacement was my 12 v battery. It was well past the 5 year mark and, according to the AAA roadside assistance guy who just jumped my car, was something they would have noticed and should have mentioned upon inspection. Instead, I ended up stranded away from my home, calling for roadside assistance, and am sitting in the service lounge of another dealership writing this review. Here's the thing. I'm disappointed about my experience at Bill Estes Toyota Service. Maybe it was just a bad day, maybe they're just understaffed and overworked like the rest of us. I don't know. But when it comes to cars most people can follow the guidelines for vehicular service BUT we are completely reliant on professional technicians to detect/resolve any and all service needs. Furthermore, we have to trust they are actually doing the work. Otherwise, someone might get stranded on his/her day off or something much worse... I don't know if my experience represents the norm. But what I do know and want to express is my loss of trust. Who knows how many things were missed in the past, recommended without necessity, or simply weren't performed up to standard. I have a lot of trust in the Toyota brand. But I'm sorry to say I've lost my trust in this particular dealership. I'm sure they can do better, and I hope they work to improve for everyone. One bad day and one lost customer is nothing compared to the loss that would be incurred should my experience be part of a larger, more systemic problem resulting from poor leadership, lack of training, understaffing, or an overall lack of quality control on the part of the Toyota Corporation."
"I purchased a Toyota in 2023 from a man who bought it from this dealership brand new in 2022. After taking it to dealership for the 10,000 mile service check, the Toyota worker told me that everything was changed over in the system to reflect my name. Yesterday (6 months later) a tire blew, and Toyota refused to honor the tire warranty (good through 2028), saying that the warranty was still in the previous owner’s name. Doug and Adam were the two associates’ names. Even after much discussion, they refused to honor the warranty and made me pay full price for the tire. Very poor customer service, particularly for a company as large as Toyota who should have been able to honor the warranty that is in place through 2028. Extremely disappointed and will likely take business elsewhere."
"Had my son's car towed there and it must have been fun for them getting it into a bay to repair. Sami's service was top notch, though, so no complications from me. Glad they got the car running again and better per my son. Would highly recommend them."
"I experienced three different times when I was ignored entering the facility. Their process is to have you enter the service area and remain at your vehicle until a tech comes to you. I sat each time as each of the techs literally skipped over me and went to vehicles that entered after me. I noticed that this consistently happened with women who entered. The last time, I was on the phone with my husband, and he asked to speak to someone. They told him, "we are doing the best we can. We are short staffed." This has not always been my experience with Bill Estes, so I am very disappointed that this is happening. I'm not sure if leadership has changed or what, but I certainly miss the old days..."
