Lab Express - Ascension Sacred Heart Medical Park at Airport Blvd.

"I walked into the diagnostic center today. 4:02 pm and waited in line for about 5 mins. When I got to the counter I gave them my lab form and they stated that they are unable to do my 1 hour glucose test. They close at 5:30 and lab instructed them to stop taking walk in for glucose tests at 4:00pm. I work full time and am 27 weeks pregnant. They did not try to make the situation right and only took labs that required blood. I informed them I needed this for my next OB appointment and I did not have time to come back and do it since I left work early today for labs. They simply said there was nothing they could do. I did point out I was here by 4:02 pm and I was waiting in line for a few minutes before they got to me and they had no reply. This is horrible customer service by closing lab services early and doing a disservice to patients that also have busy schedules."

"WARNING: this lab is not covered by most insurance and they do not notify you that they do not take your insurance. We just got hit with an $1,100 bill because Sacred Heart takes our insurance and we assumed that they were part of the Sacred Heart system and took the same insurance. Steer clear of this place"

"This location has the worst lab check-in I have ever experienced at any location in Pensacola. 1) Limited personnel at check-in desk to check you and your paperwork into their system. 2) Option of using your smartphone or their tablet to answer their many redundant questions. Knowing I shouldn’t because of past experience but hoping things had gotten better, I elected to use my Iphone for check-in (11-20-2023) and was not disappointed…I was as unsuccessful this time as in all times past. I had to use their tablet for check-in. 3) And the questions? The same questions are asked numerous times throughout the questionnaire. Why? Get your act together Sacred Heart - Airport Blvd. You could make the process much simpler if you really cared for your customers as much as you advertise that you do!"

"I had to get a recurring blood test that I've gotten annually for the past four years. I was fed up with my old lab due to long wait times despite having an appointment, so I tried this place. I've had mixed results here in the past when coming for scans and other lab work. This time was minimal wait due to time of day and the staff was pleasant. HOWEVER... I have a high deductible health care plan. The same blood test normally cost me $80 to $90 dollars at my old lab, cost me $589 after adjustments. Lesson learned."

"I am prone to UTI’s and go to “Lab Express” monthly. I wait 15-20 minutes for a cup to give a sample and leave in bathroom. It’s Ridiculous and I see there is nobody In waiting room sometimes. The staff are there in the rooms with no patients??? There is one in particular who walks up and down the hallway. Once she forgot to put my name (label) on sample and I had to come back and do it again. I don’t even have my preliminary result yet and I went yesterday afternoon around 1:30-2:00. Called and left a message this morning nothing on patient portal??? Something needs to change. The other part that does the CT scans and X-rays is fine it’s just the lab."
