"So I went in to get my nails done because I had an event I was going to on the weekend with my boyfriend for his company. I had only wanted to do regular polish due to the fact that I am in health care and my facility does not allow me to have any type of artificial nails or gel polish. While I was in the middle of getting my service done I was told i had to pay. Initially, I was fine with this and didn't think much of it. I payed and tipped the manicurist before they were done painting my nails. Everything else was fine up until I went to the dryers to make sure my nails were dry before leaving. I was told to sit there for ten minutes and then I would be good to go. After the ten minutes was up I go to put my shoes on and immediately the polish is ruined. Initially I felt terrible feeling as though it was my fault. I sheepishly go over to one of the employees and explain my situation and they were able to redo my nails. This time I make sure to stay for longer to ensure I don't ruin the polish. I sit there for TWENTY FIVE MINUTES, to ensure I don't ruin the polish again. An employee actually ended up coming over to me noticing I had been sitting at the dryers for a prolonged period of time and told me I was good to go. So once again, I go on to try and put on my shoes and once again the polish is ruined. It's very obvious at this point that the polish was just old. 3-4 different staff members end up crowding around me and looking at my nails saying that they can fix them. The salon at the time was packed so I felt humiliated as they were standing over me trying to look at my nails and talking amongst each other. I ended up saying I wanted gel polish just to get everything over with so I didn't spend an additional hour there. I was then charged an additional 20 dollars for a "polish change". I understand that they work very hard and I was appreciative of the fact that they were able to redo my nails but overall I ended up spending almost $90. To top everything off once i got home I realized that the polish on my toes had also been smudged.. keep in mind I got my toes done first, meaning that polish had been drying not only for the thirty five minutes I was sitting at the dryers for my fingernails but also the time I was sitting getting my fingernails painted. It was just a terrible experience and I will never go back."
"Was recently treated to a pedicure for Christmas…… what a fantastic experience! The staff were friendly, most were smiling!!!!! How often do you go into a salon for a service and you’re barely greeted, sometimes even made to feel like you are a bother? The tech that did my pedicure was often checking to make sure I was comfortable, the water temp was how I liked it…… the massage portion was the best! My nails looked great, feet and legs felt amazing, I left feeling very pampered! I will be back!"
"Ive been getting my nails done here for about a year and its definitely worth the 40 min commute every few weeks for my fill. I love getting my designs done with Maiya."
"I’ve been to the spa three times. The first time I didn’t feel like she did a very good job on my nails. The second time I thought she did a really good job on my nails, but she did not do anything behind the Nails like clean them out any type of work there. So today I go in for a new set because I felt that’s it was very dirty because she never really cleaned them to begin with. Not sure if she’s the manager or what, but someone tried to talk me into not getting a new set for some reason, even though I called and made an appointment for a new set. Then today, after all of that, I got the most painful, manicure of my life. I thought perhaps maybe I was just having sensitive skin today but afterwards I see where she has cut into my skin. Made my skin very red and possibly even left a chemical burn. The nail itself looks OK but my skin around was borderline mutilated. I am going to be finding a new spa."
