Holistic Dental: Wiley Green, D.D.S.

"Dr Green does free consult on xrays pushed to his clinic. And I even offered to pay. But I had an acute tooth pain on a wknd and had my xrays pushed [bc I choose holistic over modern dentists but i had to see someone at the time] to Dr Green for his opinion so I could expedite a decision. It's been over a month and I've called 3 times only to be promised the Dr will review them that day, that week etc. I'm still waiting. The manager Alyssa is the one who handled me each time i called. Not good business at all !!! I won't be going to him. I'm in medicine. Thankfully antibiotics have helped me through til I got it addressed."

"Very disappointed...my wife informed the office that insurance needed more information to file the claim. They would not wait while insurance processed it, they added a late fee and after reaching out to them I was informed they were sending us to collections. Therefore we paid out-of-pocket. After insurance paid, we now have a credit on the account, we did not receive our refund in a timely manner."

"Office manager Alyssa was completely unhelpful. First off I have been calling for 2 weeks, nobody answers the phone. I also submitted their form on the website for a new appointment 2 weeks ago, nobody got back to me. Finally left a message today saying I was done trying to make an appointment if I didn’t hear back this time. I wanted to see how a conventional dentist vs a holistic dentist cleaning works and how they approach things. She just kept saying it’s the “holistic mindset” and “we don’t use fluoride”. I want a dentist who can help me figure out why I keep getting cavities even though I have “perfect” oral hygiene according to my conventional dentist. She couldn’t explain how Dr Green might even approach that except saying it’s the “holistic mindset” and Dr Green will “give recommendations based on the cleaning” but couldn’t give any examples of what kind of things he could potentially recommend that my conventional dentist hasn’t. She also made a “joke” and said “we don’t do whole body cleaning just because we’re holistic, we’re a dentist office” which was rude and uncalled for. I also tried to get an explanation of why the cleaning is $250 and how the holistic approach make it worth that vs my conventional dentist only being $100. She couldn’t give me a single reason and also told me it was very reasonable compared to even conventional dentists. I’m not going to waste my time (or my husband’s, who needs silver filling removed and replaced but I couldn’t even get to the point to make him an appointment because of this) with an office who can’t explain what the holistic approach can offer me besides a “mindset” and no fluoride. She also got very snippy with me on the phone and kept saying we “aren’t a good fit” as soon as I started asking questions. Overall don’t recommend. If someone can’t even explain what holistic dentistry means I’m not going to go see them, I’ll drive to a different state to see a provider who can actually tell me what they can offer me as a holistic dentist that isn’t just “mindset”. I want to know what kind of solutions you can offer that conventional dentists can’t, not have the same basic statement made over and over to my questions. Edit: with the unprofessional response here, I’ll go ahead and clarify my review. NO THREATS were made at any point. I have a screenshot confirming I did submit an online request. I also called every day for two weeks with no answer. I asked to speak to someone else, no mention of Jennifer was made to me and I was told only Alyssa speaks to patients. I didn’t need to know your mindset, I needed to know what you offer that a conventional dentist doesn’t (example: I needed a filling and I have chronic cavities that have stumped 3 dentists and my primary doctor, what can a holistic dentist offer that these doctors can figure out? I was told “holistic mindset” over and over). With your dig at me saying I’m looking for the cheapest dental care, I’m not. I was willing to pay for quality care, which I stated several times, but I wanted to know why the price was so high. I was repeatedly told “mindset and we don’t use fluoride”. I asked what is used in place of fluoride and I couldn’t get an answer. I asked what the dentist could recommend for someone with chronic cavities, I was told “holistic mindset”. Buzz words do not work on me and I’ve been in the holistic space for a few years now, so if you can’t even clarify what your office means by “holistic” or say what a holistic dentist can offer besides “mindset” there is a whole other issue here. And as for my husband, I would never trust a dental office that is rude, unprofessional, can’t define “holistic”, and then quotes Latin at me (which basically means a toast to your health). If you would like to cal me, you can feel free you have my phone number but being snarky in a response to a bad review is just sad and a poor reflection on you."

"Dr. Wiley Green and staff are wonderful. I began driving to Frankfort in 2007 to have all the amalgams ( mercury fillings) removed from my teeth. This was the best office for that service. The price was reasonable and the office provided every safety precaution possible. I've continued to have my dental work done there (even though it's a 40 min drive for me) because the work is good and the people are caring and attentive. Besides the regular cleanings and x-rays, I've had a tooth implant, fillings and crown work in the last 8 years."
