"Everything was fine untill check out. Never have I ever had to wait so long to check out from a medical xenter 4 hrs since I was cleared by Dr to leave. Each time I asked "it takes time we are working on it". The I.V. line was disconnected about 1. hour ago but I.V. needle not yet to be removed. It's a shame I had to lower their rating because of this but everything from checking to checkout counts. Great care, food the.best Dr's nurses aids housekeeping but after5 days confined I want OUT. 5 hrs now still no checkout does it realy talk this long? Lunch was at 12 noonalmost 3pm now nothing to drink no one has checked on or tried to inform me about this nothing offered to drink Coke, coffee nothing. Soon I will approach nurses station tell them goodbye ask them to remove IV needle and I will start walking .. Now I find that case worker entered my insurance wrong and transportation refused to provide my transportation home. No refreshments of any kind offered in this now 5hr waiting no explanations offered untill I requested and threatened to walk . Now another hour plus before I have a way home. Thank GOD MY DRS ALSO WORK AT RUSH.No apologies Nothing!!"
"I have never been treated so horribly by a physician in my life. I took my 5 year old son to the ED at 11:30pm. We were there until 430 am. The doctor spent less than 5 minutes in the room, and then said his cough was fine. I have been a nurse since 2013, his cough was and is indeed not fine, hence me taking him to the ED. I told her I've tried otc cough meds and they don't help. My son can't go 3 minutes without coughing like he is trying to cough his lungs up. I never said anything about wanting codeine cough syrup, but before I could even finish my sentence that otc meds aren't helping, she said we don't prescribe codeine to kids. I said that's good to hear, not sure how it's relevant considering he's never been prescribed codeine and I wouldn't give it to him if he was. I suggested ninjacof dm. She said it has codeine in it. I assured her it most definitely does not. She said fine I'll look that up and write that if it doesn't have codeine. I said great. Now we are back at the house and he is still coughing like he's got tuberculosis. I don't appreciate being talked to like a drug seeker when all I'm seeking is medical attention for my 5 year old who is coughing so badly he cant sleep. I've never in my life been treated so disrespectfully and I am ashamed I ever worked at that hospital seeing what kind of physicians they employ in the ED. I will never return and I hope anyone that reads this choses to go to Oschner Rush instead. Not one person I encountered tonight other than the receptionist even seemed to care that my baby is sick. I understand burn out, that's why I'm not a bedside nurse anymore but seeing that ever single employee in the ED is suffering from burnout is alarming. I am simply appaled and dusgusted at the lack of concern for a small child's well being. Lesson learned, will never return. I hope that these providers get some rest and realize they went to school to care for the sick, and not label anxious, scared moms as drug seekers. I've seen drug seeking behavior before and when I tell you I didn't present that way. I mean it. I don't know how she took that leap but she dove on to it head first and nothing I could say or do apparently would change her mind. Her name is Lucy Limaylla and she needs a refresher on her hippocratic oath at the very least."
"Having visited the emergency department with family and friends in the past few years up to tonight….. the ER areas have been nasty, the wait times are usually several hours-6-12 or not seen at all, and the quality of care is sometimes not thorough enough. This is the ongoing perspective. Although there has been a couple positive visits. Rush Hospital (formerly known) now Ochsner has been great at very short wait times and thorough services and even extending extremely helpful financial assistance in times of need. I hope this review helps Anderson Hospital correct their problems."
"Anderson's used to be the top rated hospital in the area. When a social worker or even a floor nurse can not even bother to contact family/ point of contact of an elderly patient getting released to go back to nursing home, your rating definitely goes down. Nobody has bothered to call and it's been over 4 hours now. Imagine walking into a room to visit someone you thought you might be losing just 3 days ago, only to find an empty bed and unclean room. My heart dropped... BUT they will make sure they call you for consent on blood or surgical procedures... UPDATE- 1week later and the only person I've heard from is the lady who returns calls from the grievances/ patient advocate line (she called the next business day), who said she was forwarding the info up to the head nurse for the floor. Head nurse still hasn't called. This is ridiculous."
