"Not terribly welcoming from the start and then I had to go home and fix my beard myself as they cut the front almost half the length as the back if my beard. It felt like ordering fast food. There's no love in this place."

"Just wanted it trimmed and relayered and got my hair butchered. I’ve been trying to grow it out and I told the lady that but she took several inches off. I had to go somewhere else to get it fixed and they said it wasn’t even layered in the back, was cut uneven, and looked like they made a hole and just cut more off to fix it. Never going here again"

"The only reason I went here was because there wasn't any waiting line. The two ladies working there appeared to be just going through the motions. My haircut was not up to the standard I am accustomed to. They said the computer wss down, so I had to tell them what I wanted. I won't be going back. Sorry."

"I should have know better when I walked in, I simply wanted my hair tapered. I have natural curly hair so I asked the lady at the door are you comfortable with my type of hair, she said yes with confidence. I showed her a picture and the lady had a line in her head “a part”. She said “we don’t do that here”. I’ve had it done at other great clips just simply say you can’t do it. Great clip I beg you to please make sure your people can do everything! The stylist there are to restricted on what type of cuts they can do because of lack of skills."

"This is the email I sent before leaving a bad review to see if they would resolve the issue and nothing has come from the scenario so I am sharing this with you so you dont have my same experience. Avoid this location it is the worst I have ever experienced!!!!!! Hello, my name is matthew and before I leave a bad review for this location @ 407B 81st Ave, Merrillville, IN 46410 I would like to resolve this with the owner first. Upon arriving for my haircut I was greeted somewhat passively and I was the only person there. The lady finally came from the back to help me at the front and asked if I had checked in already which I had. Upon checking my info within the system she stated “So what are we doing because your notes are all over the place”. At this point I started to feel like she didn’t want to even try cutting my hair as it was going to be more work then she wanted to put forth. Though I decided to give her a chance and went ahead with my haircut which was a mistake. During the haircut you usually will get the hair brushed off of youR shoulders, neck and etc not from this woman though. The hair sat on my neck shoulders and arms the entire time of my haircut to the point that when I went to pay there were big chunks of hair on my arms that were very visible. When she finished cutting my hair and held the mirror for me so I could see the back she held it at only one angle preventing me from even seeing the back of my hair. When I asked her to move the mirror because I could not see she did but immediately said commenting on my hair that that is the crown which is why it looks like that. Which looked horrible there were hard lines where the fade should be and the lines weren’t even. When requesting her to try and fix this mess of a haircut she said she could try which she did and when holding the mirror for me to see it again did the same thing where I had to ask her to move it so I could see the back. At this point I knew the haircut was only going to get worse especially since she seemed like she was done cutting my hair. So I decided to call it and end this horrible experience I paid by bill and added a 2$ dollar tip but regret paying anything for this haircut since I will have to go to another location to have it fixed. What I would like from this situation is my money back $16.00 so I can pay another great clips location to fix my hair.
