Dr. Scott A. Kapers, DDS

"Do not go to this dental practice. Dr. Scott Kapers is not trustworthy and the billing is handled by his wife Melissa Kapers who does her job in a disingenuous manner. My mother, father and I were repeatedly given verbal statements of costs and then receiving bills that would be hundreds / thousands more for our various implant procedures, crowns. They also offer lots of "insurance" and "evaluations" that have hidden costs and fees that they don't discuss openly and honestly. That alone should be enough to stay away from this practice. However, Kapers himself has terrible customer service and does not put customer needs first - including both the way he practices dentistry and the way that he treats his own customer's schedule. Since I had been at his practice since I was a little kid, I assumed that dentistry had to be an anxious and sometimes painful experience by nature. I now know that this isn't the case and that everything from long wait times in the dental chair to being unclear about costs and availability of services for pain management / anxiety are not the norm at other dental offices. Kapers just doesn't care to do these things. When I shared a concern about him repeatedly rescheduling my appointments at the last moment, he openly argued with me in his office. This was infuriating to me since I had been at long time customers since I was a child. He wasn't even willing to consider changing to better his longtime customers experience. I would never recommend anyone come to this office and I wish that I would have left sooner."

"I see this con artist is still practicing. Stay away from him, and especially don't see him if your child is on Medicaid. He takes advantage of Medicaid patients, especially if they are under the state's care at the time. He messed up my wife's teeth from a ton of unnecessary procedures (which always ended up infected within a day or 2 of the procedure) when she was a teen that had to be corrected on a few different occasions by a reputable dentist in her 20's."
