Aspen Dental - Terre Haute, IN

"I was leery to visit a chain business, but I needed to have my cracked tooth repaired. My experience there was very good. Everyone was friendly. The procedure is very orderly, with a different technician handling each aspect. There were many more employees working than what I’ve seen in the past. My wait times were very short. I received a cleaning and two crowns (well today was the prep and temporary crown, I’ll go back for the permanent crown). I was happy they accepted my insurance, since not every dentist in the area will. The price for both crowns after insurance was reasonable. I will definitely return to Aspen dental- today’s visit completely changed my opinion."

"I agreed to get xrays taken by a college student for her dental hygiene degree she is pursuing. She indicated if I'd had xrays in the last year she would be unable to do the xrays. I am scheduled to do this in April. When I arrived at aspen today for my appointment I was told I needed to pay 30 dollars. I asked why and the blonde at the front desk replied it was for my oral cancer screening which is not covered by insurance. I told her I didn't want any treatment not covered by insurance. I think this should have been offered to me instead of just presented as a charge I owed automatically without being openly given a choice. When I was called back I was told they wanted to do xrays. I explained the situation and declined xrays. The dentist then refused to allow my hygiene appointment due to xray refusal. I won't be back after being a patient for several years. All my children are patients there as well and they won't be back. They are pushing treatment for money without considering patient rights and choices."

"I was surrounded by great people who helped me. I met Nelly who is a Dental Assistant. She gave me life advice as if she knew me. Kayla was also down to earth and was not a stranger either. As well as the Dentist. She was warm and polite. I appreciated the great service and it was a walk in. Also, I was able to get check out right away."

"My visit today was wonderful! Dr Whalen and Laurel make quite the team. Laurel was so fast but gentle as she worked with me. Dr Whalen was so considerate and did the work right then and there so I didn't have to come back. I've always had great care from this office but today was really the best!"

"Today was the worst experience I've ever had at Aspen Dental, my appointment was at 3:30 and after having to wait close to an hour in the waiting room I went back to the room and had to wait an additional half an hour to just spend 5 min talking to the dentist. Then was expected to wait an additional however long to go over charges for the procedures. I left picked up my contacts next door since I was going to have to wait anyways came back 10 min later still weren't ready to talk to me so I told them I was leaving and asked for them to call me with the prices for my procedure and was told I needed to come back in to get the pricing. I asked when a good time would be so wouldn't have to have a long wait, she said we're always busy so whenever is good for you. I live about 35 min away from office and I can't believe the amount of time, gas, and effort that was wasted on this trip to just be told I would need to come back in for a quote!! Very unprofessional in my opinion."
