"Best lodge N Alabama to stay. All you need is clothes and a toothbrush, everything else is furnished! The lodge is absolutely beautiful and it is the perfect getaway. I first stayed there for 4 days in 2020 for the Trail of Tears. I plan to return to the lodge every year for the Trail of Tears. I’ve known the owners for 40 years and you’ll never find any better hosts. If you haven’t stayed at the Lodge, then you definitely need to book a stay. You’ll be glad you did!!"

"This place is awesome!! Me and the wife needed some time away and rented a cabin out here..it has been one of the most peaceful weekends Ive had in a long time. The cabins literally have everything you need from coffee filters to washing detergent to soap and shampoo a gas grill and a sitting area with a gas fireplace.They literally thought of everything. It has some very great scenery in the area with water all around you. This area is beautiful and quiet so if you need a peaceful weekend look no further."

"Waterloo is Alabama's best kept secret and Waterloo Lodge is the perfect place to stay!! The lodge is equipped with all of the comforts of home. Just had to take food and drinks for our weekend stay. Loved the comfy king sized bed! There's plenty of room to relax and stay cool inside. And loved the rocking chairs on the porch!! I've stayed in three separate units and love them all!! Can't wait to go back!!"

"We stayed in the Eagles Nest A cabin. It's a great location to get away for a bit. There is still a gas station (with food) and a diner close by that could be walked to. There were two public boat access ramps right up the road for those getting on the water. Plenty of room to park a boat in the covered parking spots for each cabin. Sunsets were great out here on the lake. The cabin was nice and we enjoyed our weekend stay."
