"UPDATE10/2021: Won judgement in court for a full refund from Ashley Goree and her company for negligence in proper preparation. Still has not reimbursed me to this date. What Ms Goree fails to see is everyone makes mistakes but her pride and selfishness kept her from doing the right thing and stripping cabinets and sanding them due to the type of glossy finish they had on them. I paid another contractor to redo entire kitchen correctly and came out beautiful! So I paid double the cost. If she had integrity she would reimburse me. April 2020 I hired Ashley Nicole Goree, owner of Utter Clutter Vintage & Antiques to paint my MDF cabinets in my home I own. Paint peeled during laying down tile and it was stated it has not cured yet, so they painted over the peeling paint. On April 26, they completed paint job. From appearance, I thought they were going to look great! I was then advised that it can take several days to cure and to be very careful. I postponed granite install as instructed by Ashley. Before I installed granite I asked if it had cured enough, and Ashley said yes to go ahead and install granite. Not only did the granite install showed that the paint was not adhering to cabinets, but I brushed up against cabinet while putting a garbage disposal box next to it and it came off with a brush up against it. I noticed underneath that it was the same finish of my original cabinets, meaning it was not scraped, sanded or primed. The paint was peeling off!!!! In Large sheets!! This is May 7th, 11 days after 4/26 completion. It was obvious that paint was not adhering to cabinets. Ashley kept insisting it would take a full 30 days to cure. I contact the paint company to ask and received a detailed explanation as to why it would not adhere to cabinet. It was not done correctly. She insisted they were wrong. I asked her repeatedly to come in and do it over correctly and she wanted to just paint over it at no charge through May 7th and charge me for other after that date. I then sought expert opinions from 2 different cabinet painters and both gave me written statements it was not properly prepared and would have to be done over. She still refused to do over. So on May 26th, 30 days after they completed job, I paid another company to re-do all cabinets and stripped them. I have video of the paint peeling off with ease, it peeled off like a banana. So the theory of 30 days to cure was a lie. I am now suing her for a full refund! Do not use her!!!!! I have videos, statements of testimony and photos."
