Defining Home

"Defining Home is a vendor for some very sought after brands, and unfortunately in Birmingham it’s one of the only vendors for the furniture I wanted to purchase. However, other than being a place to swipe your credit card, there is absolutely nothing else that this company did as far as customer service, delivery, quality control, etc. For over 8 months, I had to call and inquire about my order, never receiving occasional updates or being assured that my things would, in fact, actually be delivered. They never updated me at one single instance the entire time. I find this to be so disappointing, as a small business that truly needs local support, your company should do a better job of keeping in contact with your customers. I’m not exactly sure what the point of Defining Home is. You can order the same stuff from Kathy Kuo home or other larger online businesses, and likely have better customer service, maybe shipping included upfront (I, surprisingly, had to pay the delivery drivers the day of delivery, after they were an hour outside of the scheduled time). Overall, unless it’s the last furniture store on earth, it’s pointless to shop here. Use a business that values it’s customers."
