"Loved every meal at Sushi-san. I have visited several times, and enjoyed everything. I usually order the spicy salmon or tuna roll. The fish is always fresh, never fishy. This time I tried the BBQ beef lettuce wraps. The beef was tender and well cooked. The miso dressing was so good, it paired well with the meat. Service is always great, never had a complaint. Food usually comes quickly, which is a plus. I definitely recommend this spot for lunch or dinner."

"Went during the late afternoon on a weekday and was seated immediately. Staff is very friendly and the food was tasty! My fave item was def the Vietnamese rice bowl…fire. Second place would be the togarashi chicken nuggets. Looking forward to trying some new items when I come back!"

"I stopped here to grab a quick bite before heading to the airport and I am so happy I did! Vibe: I was there in the middle of the day, so I don't think I could really appreciate the ambiance. It was super comfortable and had a good vibe. Service: Service was great - super personable and hospitable. The bartender was a wealth of knowledge and I have some great tips for my next visit to the Windy City. Food: The Japanese Tempura Eggplant was to die for! You need to order this! Second to that I loved the Spicy Tuna Aburi. I also had a Crunchy Avocado Roll and a Spicy Scallop Roll. I'd say my only complaints with the food - I thought they could plus up the presentation of the two rolls and the spicy scallop roll had a bit of a gassy taste from the torch. "I stopped in at sushi San when I was in Chicago for work in October. the food was fresh, service was quick and the Yuzu margarita was well-made. The atmosphere was busy for Halloween night and lively with almost every table taken. I enjoyed sitting at the sushi bar and watching the two chefs prepare box after box of rolls. I’ll definitely go again for dinner or lunch! Definitely worth checking out for sushi and also their hot appetizers."

"Sushi-San was recommended to us by our concierge and I have to say it's probably one of the best recommendations we've received in quite some time. When you arrive and see the decor from outside to inside, you know that it's going to be a great evening and the food will be on point. The atmosphere was amazing even though it was loud, there was still an energy about the place that drowned out the background noise. Our waiter was wonderful, patient and very helpful with the menu and checking in on us throughout our entire time there. I ordered the Beef N Bop and it is one of the best meals I've had at a sushi restaurant. Everything I tried that others ordered was delicious also because we wanted to try many different things. The portion sizes they give you are worth the money as well. The menu is very diverse and any type of sushi you're looking for, you'll most likely find here. If you find yourself in Chicago on vacation or just looking for a great sushi spot then Sushi San is the place to go."
