Chef Dan came out to greet us as well, which made the whole night that much more special. We will be back!"

"Finally a restaurant that focuses on quality instead of quantity. It shows in every aspect. It starts with limited seating...there aren't people constantly coming and going around you. The service is personal and impeccable. Each course is perfectly portioned and executed. The food quality itself is extraordinary. Nothing tastes like it was made ahead of time and left in a steam table for hours... Because it isn't. Chef Daniel has created a dining experience. Amy's personal service made it all the better. Can't wait to go back!!!"

"What do you get for a parent's birthday when they already have at least 2 of everything? You make a fond new memory. Usually my wife & I try a restaurant out before taking my parents there, but tonight was a first for all of us. I rolled the dice, prayed that it'd at least be decent, & we hit the jackpot! With a 7pm reservation we arrived & to our surprise.. we had the restaurant completely to ourselves. We had our server's undivided attention & she did an excellent job. The chef even came out & hung with us for a bit after the meal to see that everything was to our liking. Everything about this dining experience was perfect.. I'm not sure what the next occasion will be that brings us back, but I'm sure there will be one.. & I'm already looking forward to it."

"Went to Portofino with my wife for our anniversary and we were beyond impressed. The food really is just outstanding. The Lamb chops might possibly be the best lamb dish I’ve ever had. Dinner is reservation only. If you enjoy Italian food at all, I highly recommend you give it a try. It’s the best Italian food we’ve had pretty much anywhere."

"We had an incredible dinner at Portofino last night. Although this restaurant is new to the Geist area (opened Oct. 2021), Chef Daniel brings many years of experience to this Italian restaurant. Everything we ate was delicious - an experience to savor and not rush. Our server, Summer, was great - attentive and friendly with excellent recommendations. The baked fontina was very good as were both of the risottos we had (fruitti di mare and genovese). The scampi diavola was like nothing I've ever eaten before - delicate yet rich in flavor. Definitely save room for dessert as we tried both the daily cannoli and tiramisu."
