Lou Malnati's Pizzeria 11435 Spring Mill Road, Carmel, IN 46032

"If you like Chicago-style deep dish pizza, and you live anywhere in the Midwest outside of Chicago, Lou Malnati's is one of two solid options you have. Deep deep dish with the sauce (chunky with tomato slices) on the top. Very good! But don't make Valentine's Day the first day you choose to try it. We ordered online for a 6pm pick up, and I pulled up at 6pm to see a line out the door, down the sidewalk, and around the corner: everyone waiting to pick up orders (this location is carry-out only). When I went inside to give my name, the inside was packed. But rather than go outside and join the crowd on the cold, I found a place near the counter to stand and wait. The employees would call out names when an order was ready, but none of them would check with the people on the sidewalk, so it became the job of the customers waiting inside to relay names to the line outside. After 49 minutes of waiting (and heading the phones ring unanswered the whole time) my order was finally ready. Just glad we didn't order one of the many things that they had run out of. They clearly need a better system, but kudos to the employees who kept their cool and tried to work through the chaos, and to the customers who were all unbelievably calm and patient despite the long waits (including the guy with the 5:30 pick up that was still waiting when I left)."

"I'm from Chicago and have always loved Lou Malnati's. The sauce is to die for and the service is fast and courteous. When I found out they're here in Indy I had to get some pie! I recommend everybody go to Malnati's!"

"If you're in to deep dish pizza, then this will probably be one of your favorite pizza spots in the local area. Their pizzas are very different than your typical pizza, with lots of cheese covered in a chunky sauce with lots of large pieces of tomatoes. The crust is also very unique, but quite tasty. As a fan of NY-style pizza, the whole experience was different than what I would normally order, but still worth trying if you want a unique pizza option! This particular location is take out only, and does not have any seating."

"I dined here this evening with my daughter and Ash was our server. It was a fantastic experience. The atmosphere is definitely family friendly and the staff was extremely personal and attentive to our needs. Both managers stopped by our table to make sure everything was going well, which was pleasantly unexpected. The food was also delicious! We had Deep Dish Pizza, salad, bruschetta, and kids ravioli. Thank you for a great experience !"

"The deep dish pizza was fantastic. We were traveling and looking for something to take back to our hotel room. You never know what you’re gonna get. But this was a pleasant surprise. Everything about the pizza was great, great crust, plenty of toppings and all around delicious."
