"Excellently maintained hotel. I loved the historic feel, and the room was beautiful with high ceilings. I would absolutely stay here again. The staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating."
"I had a reservation for two nights; however, after seeing a huge cockroach in my bathroom, I only stayed one night. I notified management that I would be leaving because of it and was told that I’d still be charged an early departure fee (price of one night without the taxes). I emailed the general manager twice and he sent a curt email that I would be refunded. The lack of professionalism shown by management is probably why the majority of the staff have a similar disposition. I would NEVER recommend this property! The room wasn’t the cleanest, but I tried to overlook that but the cockroach was the final straw."
"The only reason that this hotel gets 2 stars is because of the property itself with wonderful big, beautifully restored rooms and the walking proximity to most of the Montgomery museum experiences ... from there, it just lets itself down and disappoints. 1. No drinking water and no mini bar in the rooms? This should be standard .. having to pay for drinking water is ludicrous. 2. The breakfast leaves much to be desired. I felt like I was in a backpacker's hostel, not a Marriott property. 3. The room cleaning just didn't come and then we were told (4 hours after calling at 3pm to have them come up) that they were gone for the day, and that it had just been too busy to get to our room. For the first time in my life at a hotel, I was told to go to the front desk to fetch fresh towels and take them back to my room. 4. Fundamental lack of front of house staff meaning that one person has to do everything in the evenings ... and therefore cannot leave the front desk. It took 10 minutes for a phone call to the front desk to be answered. Again, the rooms are awesome and the location is great if you are in the city to see the museums, but just manage expectations - clearly management has cut costs to keep prices down, and that comes at the expense of customer experience."
"Overall I’d give this hotel 2 stars. Upon arrival we lived the room. But, the first mistake was not checking the beds. After flipping the beds back there were a pair of socks in the sheets letting me know the room has not been properly serviced. House keeping was gone for the day, The front desk lady was accommodated my stay as best as she could. With no offense to front desk, I lost faith in this hotel after coming in to dirty linens. The rooms are dark and my sink did not drain well. This could be a nice hotel."
"This Hotel was a pleasant surprise. This was an existing warehouse as well as other things throughout the years. The room are beautiful and spacious with brick and exposed wood. Walking distance from the tunnel with plenty of great food and bars. A short distance from the water front and amphitheatre. The breakfast is standard but plentiful."
