Frankie's Restaurant

"Inspired by the recent article in in the January 2024 edition of Evansville, Living, we decided to check out Frankies, the new eatery on Logan Dr. in Evansville. We arrived at about 10 a.m. for a late breakfast. The dinning room was open, bright and clean. All employees seemed happy and friendly in their interactions with the customers and each other. The restaurant was busy, but not crowded, and our hostess immediately seated us. We took advantage of their diverse mimosa menu by ordering one orange and one mango mimosas. We could see these mimosas, being prepared, and they were very generous with the champagne, Filling each flute 2/3s full before adding the juice. The breakfast menu boasted The expected American staples, but also included some Mexican inspired dishes as well. We enjoyed our drinks as our meals were prepared in a reasonable amount of time. The huevos rancheros were the best we’ve had in this area and we could tell they were prepared by a chef knowledgeable in these classic Mexican eggs. The country fried steak was wonderfully breaded and seasoned and the accompanying hashbrowns and scrambled eggs were fresh and delicious. The short stack of pancakes proved light, fluffy, and generously sized. We also ordered the house made hot sauce, which was not listed on the menu. It was thick, fresh, full of flavor and packed a nice kick. It was a perfect addition to the huevos rancheros and hashbrowns. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive. Frankie himself, the owner, was a ubiquitous site in the dining room, as he personally checked on each table. This was a wonderfully flavorful experience, and we will definitely go back to sample their dinner menu."

"Food was really good. Portions are not small and prices arent to bad at all. Little slow coming to the table to get our order. We definitely will be back at dinner time to try other items on the menu!"

"This place serves breakfast all day which is awesome. Sadly, I was underwhelmed. Frankie's appears to be Mexican owned. Imagine my surprise when the Mexican breakfast Huervo Rancho I ordered was garbage. My chicken and waffle was good even though I had to ask for syrup. My son's sandwich and burger looked good. Stay away from the Mexican dishes and you should be ok."

"My family and I stopped in for dinner. I ended up getting an egg sandwich with fruit. It was delicious. Perfectly cooked. My son had the mickey mouse pancake and loved it. The catfish was also very delicious. Everyone was very happy with their choices. Can't wait to go back and try more items off the menu."
