Dollar General

"The people who work here are Local folks who know alot of the customers. It certainly has a Home Town feel!! I love this Store they always have the shelves stocked with the latest goodies and groceries! I have been going since they open... I pass 2 Dollar General Store up to go to this Store!! Very Well Managed. Mindy is a Amazing Lady! 5 stars...."

"By far the worst customer service ever. There was an incident in January where my mom bought $60 worth of stuff but forgot to pay for a big lighter she grabbed at the counter. She was followed to her car by the store manager Mandy on E. Washington Rd. in Central Indiana, and confronted about it. when my mom offered to pay for it the store manager declined and called the cops and a police report was filed… A week or so later the Harrison county prosecutor contacted my mom. I am promptly called their home office and filled a complaint. Tammy the district manager contacted me as well as my mom and the prosecutors office drop all charges and told my mom she was free to shop in the store she then told us that she had contacted the store manager and told the manager mom is free to shop there. The next time my mom went in Mandy the gm and Sue just another employee made a big spectacle in a store full of people calling my mom a thief I’m telling her she was not allowed to shop there a few days later the cops showed up at the my moms door because Mandy had found more charges for trespassing. Tammy has not been keeping in contact with us like she said she would and nobody from the home office seems to care this is been an ongoing issue for three months. At this point I believe the general manager has went out of her way to make things complicated for my mom in her community and so therefore she lose her job."

"First, I love Dollar General, it's my beacon of light, had been since my days driving for them. So now that I drive a wrecker, sometimes I have to leave a car somewhere to stop and do another job, and until today I never had a problem. But the manager for this store was very rude and mean to me. If I met a friend there and we went fishing, would you tow my car, it worse, call 911. So in an attempt to fully understand I asked how long before she calls to have it towed, she said if it was still there the next day she would call and have it impounded, so I said great, I'll be back in two hours tops, and began to leave, that's when she called 911. So I just took the car five more miles to the next Dollar General. That's when the Harrison county sheriff got involved. He was cool, He said, "Dollar General may think they run this store but she's really the boss," and that he "knew how she was, so this isn't the first time someone has been mistreated because she wants a confrontation. I love Dollar General. But not this one."

"Dollar general in central indiana: the store is pretty clean and for the most part orderly! I have for sure seen a ton worse... But the evening workers (not all of them but one woman in particular) seems pretty lazy. =/ 1st time I went in after we moved here about 2mo ago she hollared through the store to my husband and I and a few other customers "hey we close in 5minute!!!" When we got to the register few seconds later she says "we dont mean to be pushy but we have to hurry becuz our boss says we have to be done in here 15min after closing...so... That means we have to get everyone out before 10pm." ??? Really? I have never heard of having to get done with all the store clean up before closing and having to be out of there by 15min after closing... With Most business, once everyone leaves, then the employees clean up, mop, sweep, and all that. It just seems rude to be going around all the customers doing all those things while we are in there trying to shop? Idk. But I dont think she was telling the truth is what disturb me even more because the others workers weren't saying a word and the lady that checked my husband and I out apologized =/."
