"Always enjoyed going here for the food but the last couple times I’ve went the older guy behind the counter was belittling the cashier and was rude to the two of us when were trying to decide on what to get, food wasn’t as good as it usually was the Bourbon Chicken anyway. Was disappointed."
"Food tasted exactly how I felt when I entered the restaurant, RUSHED! Guy behind the counter customer service skills is trash. Nothing like the Yats in Columbus IN. Do not waste your time or money."
"Ate at Dats today. Without a doubt, absolutely not even a second guess, easily the nastiest food I’ve ever eaten from a restaurant. This is not Cajun/Creole food. I don’t know what this canned chicken, boil in a bag rice concoction was trying to be, it said bourbon chicken, but I’ve NEVER seen bourbon chicken like that. And that Etouffee, I don’t even know what to say, it was an abomination, I have never seen Etouffee like that in my life. I don’t know how they managed to get bourbon chicken and CHEESE and artichoke Etouffee to taste similarly nasty, but they did. All these positive reviews, I don’t know what they’re talking about or what they ate but they are not telling the truth. You would be better off going home and cooking up a box of Zataran’s and some andouille sausage than this hot mess."
"Worst food in Bloomington. Supposed to be chicken peanut Thai but it’s just cayenne gravy with no chicken or veggies in sight. My order was bean purée, tomato paste, and copious amounts of cayenne pepper."
"I just moved to Bloomington from Louisiana, born and raised there for 22 years of my life! I was excited to visit here and maybe chat with the workers or owner about Louisiana. The worker wasn’t very welcoming but he did his job, and I knew there wasn’t going to be any chit chat. The food reminds me nothing of home. The bread didn’t seem toasted which I think would’ve helped with the Datwich. You’d need to eat quick or split with a friend the Datwich so the bread doesn’t get soggy. My boyfriend got the white chicken chili which he ate just fine but still reminded me nothing of LA. On its own without assuming its Creole/Cajun food, it is unique and a change of pace from regular fast food and the prices were good. I’m not picky about food at all. However I’m still inclined to try the gumbo and see how that goes."
