"The tap is normally a 5 star restaurant. I always go for the beer cheese burger or the beer cheese Philly steak. Either will not disappoint every single time. I always make this restaurant a spot to visit when I come to Bloomington twice a year. Unfortunately during this visit the food was sub-par. I ordered the new item steak and fries. Thank goodness it had fried because those never disappoint. I ordered the steak medium well with no modifications. The steak came black. Dry as a bone. The menu states seasoned, but this steak was just put on the grill no seasoning, so bland. The chimichurri was 99% parsley, so very bitter. Chimichurri should be more of a liquid instead of a paste, see picture. I would not order this steak ever. The Tap finally disappointed me. Next time back to the beer cheese burger."
"The Tap has very fast and professional service. It is a lot larger on the inside than it looks on the outside so there is rarely a long wait. The food is always great. The Beer Cheese Steak Sandwich is one of my favorites, and of course the fries are great."
