Caplinger's Fresh Catch Seafood Kitchen at The AMP

"This review is for all the stores not just 1 I loved this place and was probably spending $300 a month here for the last 18 months but recently the red beans and rice isn't the same and there's never any sausage in it anymore and the color and texture recently changed,the hush puppies have been bitter and not sweet with no corn. I get the basa and the last 9 out of 10 times it's either had a chlorine taste or way too salty and or the breading has had a weird after taste and it crumbles super fine when you bite it and it's just not like how it's been for the first 4 years out of the 5 or so years I've been eating here. Also the shrimp I got was terrible and the new way the shrimp sauce is isn't good at all. It use to have more liquid in it and now it's just clumpy and dry and the tarter sauce has also changed since it's not in the processed containers anymore and it may as well just be mayonnaise. I've got tons of rewards left but it's time to take a break and stop coming for a while. Seems like almost everything out there is getting more and more inconsistent and the prices are too high for that to happen. And I've had the same problem as others with online ordering,order several minutes before arriving on my lunch break and tell them I'm on site and 15 mns later they tell me my order hasn't even been started yet cause they didn't know I was here. After I tell them soon as I walk in I'm here for my online order and give my name."

"Great fish so no complaints there! Amazing fries as well! Reason for 2 star review is that the online order pickup system told me my order is ready but when I went in to pick it up the employee said he hasn't even started preparing it and I should not trust the online system. So what is the point of the system and it sending me a text? He told me to sit and wait patiently which I did. Once I received my food and began driving away I received a call from them that they forgot to pack my cheesecake and I should return to pick it up but problem was my fish would have gotten cold if I turned around. He told me to come back at a later time and get the cheesecake by mentioning his name (which I have since forgotten) but the proper way to deal with this should have been a refund for the cheesecake or a full refund due to the repeated inconveniences. But as I said, the fish and fries were amazing! I will however stick to the Meridian location even though it is 20 minutes out of my way because bad customer service trumps great food."

"Have been my second time to that place, even though I go to the AMP almost everyday for lunch. Both times I was there the customer service skills were terrible. With a music playing, I had a trouble hearing the cashier and had to ask to repeat his question couple of times - the answers were rude and he did not even try to say it louder, so I could hear. The salmon I ordered first time was almost dry, and today I ordered Calamari Steak Dinner - which disappoint me a lot. Even when you put your fork into it - sounds like a rubber, that's impossible to eat. Everything is just covered in seasoning or sauces, with a wide selection of fish and seafood - there is a lack of skills cooking it. Ended up spending 20 dollars for nothing. There are different vendors in the AMP that serve great food that I'd recommend."

"I normally love this place. It usually never disappoints, but this time, I got a perch sandwich. The bread was too small for the fish. Everything was seasoned perfectly once I was able to eat it. As soon as I picked up my sandwich, all the fish fell off, and then I had to eat a deconstructed sandwich. Suggestion use a kiser roll or something for the sandwiches so the fish doesn't come out. I really wanted a sandwich, not fish and fixings."

"I paid almost $25 for lobster roll, the bread was old, and it fell apart. The advertisement picture shows claw meat when it's actually imitation crab meat with very little claw meat or real lobster."
