"BUY THE JAM!! It is all very good. We started our breakfast with a cinnamon roll, it was absolutely delicious. The heavenly biscuit plate is the way to go, with a side of biscuits and gravey. The gravey is one of the best that I have had, nice and peppery. Will be back again when in the area"
"Food: I ordered the largest breakfast item on the menu, and requested the egg to be scrambled as I am allergic to the yoke if it's not cooked. The food came out wrong, when the staff was informed they had to make sure it was said at time of ordering like we lied. They said it was requested and the cook didn't pay attention to the order. The plate was sent back and returned with the correct egg (the egg was bland). They did not remake the plate, the original egg was removed and the correct egg was added to the original plate. For this the rating is 1 star! If I was severely allergic that would have been an awful day for me and this rating would be really bad. The gravy: not listed as sweet, was not thrilled with the flavor, maybe a mention of the sweet flavor should be on the menu or told at time of ordering. Maybe if I had chose coffee instead of sweet tea it would have been better?! But sweet gravy and southern sweet tea is a sugar rush and I expected it to be better. Service: it was good, they were busy so that is a factor, I have no complaints about the staff. Atmosphere: meh. The building is small so the dining room is, that cannot be helped, but I don't care for non order at table establishments. Having to wait in a line to give your order and then wait what was a bit more than a usual wait is a bit much and I can understand a lot of the 1 star reviews. This place is small, and there is no rush at all. If it's busy go somewhere else if you want a good overall experience. As a local resident, this was a first time picked by the party I was with. I have heard ups and downs and chose to set that aside and try it out, at least once. Unfortunately once will be it. I was not thrilled overall. Maybe you will have a better experience, and you should try it at least once, don't let reviews keep you from trying something new to you."
"The food here was worth the wait. It is a non-traditional restaurant though. You order at the counter, get your own drinks, and then they find you a seat when one becomes available. You will wait, but we found the wait worth it."
"Quaint little place to get breakfast or lunch at. Staff was very friendly. They seat you, then you go up to the counter to order. Drinks are self serve, which was no problem for us. They are cash only. Which for us was no problem but that may not work for some. They do have an ATM on site for those that don't have any cash on them. We had a group of 8 and some of us can be rowdy. The waitress joked and cut up with us, it was great. She even gave us high fives on our way out the door. Food was good! Will definitely go back!"
"Hands down one of the best Homestyle restaurants you can find in Brown County! Their fried potatoes are some of the best I've ever had along with their hangover burger. If you are looking for a great breakfast this is the spot as well! All bread for the sandwiches are toasted with butter to a golden brown. You find a seat, look at the menu, go to the counter, pay and your food is delivered. I love this method, you're not waiting on the waitress after you are done eating you just get up and leave."
