"The cashier was very rude and when we walked through the doors she rolled her eyes while we clearly saw her. today i finally write a review after countless encounters like this here. though don’t get me wrong the store has great things and every one else is lovely"
"I called ahead of time to make sure that they had the items I needed. I translated the items to Spanish to be sure that they understood what I needed. I arrived 15 mins later and began looking for what I wanted. Something else caught my eye as I checked the prices. A guy walks up and asked me what I needed and I told him. First, he said no and then he said it’s over there while pointing to another aisle. I said okay and kept browsing the items that first caught my interest. He just stood over me so I moved to the side where he directed me. He was on my heels and standing close to me. As I browsed the aisle, I said to the person on my phone “it doesn’t look like they have it”. The guy exclaimed ‘no, we dont have it, bye’. I told him that he didn’t know what I wanted specifically and he said ‘ yeah I know, we don’t have it’. As I began to double check, he moved closer to me so that I would have to move down the aisle towards the exit. I told him that he was weird and the service was bad. I told him that I would give him bad reviews and he just smiled, started talking to the cashier, and waving bye. Mind you, I was the only customer in the store. I would hate to think that this is a racist situation because he is considered a minority just like myself. His skin is brown like mine. I am a middle aged Black womanly of the working class. My appearance displayed exactly that. I wore a very small crossbody purse so there was no reason to suspect stealing. I’ve never had had to steal anything, ever. I’m not sure who is supposed to shop there by his standard but I can say that it’s definitely not a place for the Black consumer. Please don’t spend your dollar there."
