"Hidden gem! Excellent food, old School atmosphere... I'm going back... The fillet catfish and onion rings were excellent... Lots of side dishes to choose from... Go if you enjoyed the Colfax restaurant or similar restaurants..."

"Food was good, the waitress was young but did a good job. We were seated in the fireplace room and the fireplace was on but it was very cold in there. My main complaint and why I didn't give them a 5 was that in the past when I ordered smelt I got a big plate with a heaping pile of smelt and I used to be able to order a half order. This time I was told you could only order a full order at $15. So we ordered the smelt as our meal and was going to split it. However, when it arrived there was maybe only 12 smelt in there. Not worth the money this time. I was disappointed."

"This is a small town called Americus. This is a cozy diner with decor giving it a rustic cabin feel which i like. The food is fantastic. I had a prime rib sandwitch on a grilled toast type bread. Great taste. I also got coleslaw. Homemade i would guess. Also very good flavor. My two daughters had the hefty 1/2 pound burger. Huge burger full of flavor. One daughter had to get box to take home. Also got fries and they were cooked just right. Wife got hot ham and cheese with cup of creamy potato soup. Ham sandwich different than normal but still got a lot of ham and it had the melted cheese. She also really liked the soup. For appetizers we got fried mushrooms and motzerella cheese sticks. The cheese sticks the kids loved. They were actually juicy inside. The mushrooms were crisp on the outside and cooked to perfection on the inside. This restaurant was well worth the short detour on our way home from purdue. If anywhere close, please try to go you will not be disappointed."

"Can you say Lasagna on Wednesdays? Fine local folks at this neighborhood pub... treated me like I wasnt a dirty out-of-towner, and I liked the lasagna enough to eat 2 portions!! Cheap buckets of Coors Light- how can you go wrong?"

"A great stop in Americus, Indiana. I had the broasted chicken on a Sunday, when the salad bar is included with the dinner. The chicken was good and juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. Not greasy. Also good that the food isn’t salty for people that need to be careful about salt intake. That’s what the salt shaker on the table is for those who want it. Fresh salad bar along with homemade slaw, macaroni salad, etc. Very friendly family-run business."
