Cajun Crab House

"First time eating here today... And the last. Like most places... It's expensive. Food wasn't bad... Ate the crab and shrimp gumbo soup... Very spicy. Crab legs boil and Mac and cheese for our 5 year old granddaughter. Cool looking place... The service is where it faltered. We were brought our crab boil, but no Mac and cheese for our GD. We asked the server about it and she said she'd check. Then we asked again 15 minutes later and she said we have to wait, that there are 4 tickets ahead of her Mac and cheese. Then she claimed we never ordered it, and was very rude when we of course stated that we DID order it for her, since she doesn't eat crab boil. We asked for a manager... Waited 10 minutes for her. She gave us the speech on how they are making it... I mean I'm sure they literally have a mass amount made and could have just scooped some in the bowl for her. Instead, they bring it out when we were finished eating our meal...so we took it to go. They didn't even bother to take it off the bill... I wish I would have refused it. On top of it all, they automatically add 18% gratuity on your bill... Which explains the bad service and attitude. Since they are already getting 18% of your high tab, they have zero motivation and incentive to provide decent service. Be careful when the bill is presented... They try and confuse you on how they list the tip, and you can easily add double that with the tip the way the receipt is printed. I'm curious if they automatically add 18% on carry out orders... Wouldn't put it past them. But we won't be finding out because we won't be back. Was nothing special."

"Food was great. Not busy at all when I was there and it took over an hour to get our food we ordered. 18% gratuity is a bit excessive."

"Very delicious food! We visited this restaurant as a group of 13. We were seated as we walked in and easily accommodated without a problem. Our server was very friendly and answered all of our questions. Service was very friendly. We shared two gallons of their very refreshing Bahama Booze which we had about four servings between 6 people. We all had individual seafood bags with many options to add. Seafood is charged as whatever price the market price is at. They also have kids menu items. We were provided plastic bib and gloves to eat. You aren’t able to split the bill so make sure of you go in large groups to take cash. Tips are automatically added. Would definitely return eating here was a great experience."

"The fried shrimp was a good size individually and the meal was a generous portion. The French fries were alright and a tad bit greasy. The staff was a lot of friendly young servers and cashier. They offered lots of smiles and we're very helpful. They had pretty fast service. They forgot cocktail sauce and I had to request it. They only gave one small dipping container unfortunately which is not enough for such a large meal. Definitely clean inside and the bathrooms were well attended. Place was packed with families dining in. Obviously a local favorite. We will return to try other meals. The decor was fun!"
