"This is a very good place to eat. The chef salad is huge and fresh and the thousand island is homemade, I hear. I've also had liver and onions there, very good. Great fries! And so clean. It's a family style place so that's the atmosphere, nothing fancy. I just wish they had those pumpkin pancakes in GF, I bet they're delicious."

"We live in the Roselawn area and drive 17 miles one way to eat. If that doesn't say enough about Royal Oak. No other reviews should matter. Excellent service, attentive waitresses, good portions and extremely clean atmosphere. Please tip your waitress well! Truly a local and hidden gem! I would go more often if it was closer!"

"We were driving across Indiana and stopped at Fair Oaks farms based off of multiple recommendations. We were not happy at all with are experienced there they were out of biscuits at 10:30 on a Saturday morning. So we looked at reviews and decided to come to the Royal Oak. Everything was perfect we were waited on in a timely fashion the girls who worked there were polite and friendly and fast. Our food was very good tasty and at a reasonable price. My husband had the prime rib special and I had a 1/2 order of biscuits and gravy and a Belgian waffle. The Belgian waffle was terrific my husband tried some and agreed. I enjoyed my biscuits and gravy too."
