"My first experience with acupuncture was when Dr. Ly helped me in 2017 by getting rid of my hot flashes. I was having 10-20 a day, mostly at night. This was affecting my quality of life as I was not able to sleep well. I was looking for an alternative to hormone therapy as I did not want the risks associated with it. I knew someone who had been confined to bed with a blood clot due to hormone therapy. I was referred to Dr. Ly by a coworker who's wife had used him for back pain. She had been in an accident and her doctor could not seem to help her with the back pain. The coworker said that Dr. Ly was the only one that was able to get rid of her pain. While treating me for hot flashes, I developed Shingles on my face and around my eye area. He treated me for the pain associated with that and helped me to heal very quickly, it was gone in 2 weeks. I did not have to take the pain medicine my family doctor gave me Also, on May 10, I began seeing Dr. Zhao and Dr. Ly for severe debilitating nerve pain in my right arm. I am fully functional again with that arm and hand and no longer have any pain in that arm. My Orthopedic Doctor prescribed a steroid pack and said if the acupuncture and chinese medicine did not help, I could take those to help with inflammation. I was happy that I did not need to purchase that steroid pack and I won't have to go see the Orthopedic Doctor for my follow up on July 11! Acupuncture works, but it is not a quick process. If you think you can go 1 time and be healed, then you may be disappointed depending on what your medical issue is. Acupuncture is used in conjunction with your own body's healing ability and that is different for everyone. Also, be aware that your medical insurance may not cover the costs. Mine does not, but I am lobbying at work and trying to get that changed. I highly recommend Dr. Zhao and Dr. Ly. They are very professional and really care about their patients."
