"They are the best when it comes to doing braids!"
"They say they do locs here but I would not recommend it at all. I came 1/10/23 to get my starter locs and I was happy with them, even though they don’t do color. The problem came when I returned for my 2 week retwist yesterday 1/24. I actually feel stupid because I called the day before to make sure that the same lady that did my starter locs would be doing my retwist. They said she would be there; it would be the same lady. I got there later and the original woman wasn’t there. I said I’d just come back at a later time, but a lady insisted she could do it. I was still hesitant but she said she was the owner, she picked that other lady, and so of course she was sure she could do it. So I trusted the owner to do my hair right and stayed. By the time I got from under the dryer, the original woman that started my locs came. That means I could have just came back later that day and had the original lady that started my locs. The owner could have and should have told me that the lady I wanted to do my hair was just coming in later. When I went to pay, the owner had disappeared, presumably because it was her time to go home for the day. The original lady that started my locs took my payment. I was shocked they charged the same price as the original starter twist when this was just a retwist. Then the original woman refused to let me tip. I should have known then it was because she saw the owner did a poor job. I also wasn’t given a mirror to get a closer look at the hair. The attached pictures were taken as soon as I got home, less than an hour since the appointment. The locs are lumpy and inconsistent. A lot of them have large puffs. I just feel very ripped off and like what was done yesterday could impact the look of my dreads for years onwards. How you take care of young dreads impacts how they look years down the line. Now, I’ve wasted hard earned money, and I need to come up with more to get a consultation from a loctician. And that loctician might very well say I need to start over. Seeing how they let me walk out with my hair like that, I don’t want to ever go back and I wouldn’t trust them to try to fix my hair, even for free. Don’t come here for dreadlocks and I wouldn’t even suggest you come for braids, because it seems like if they make a mistake they’ll just let you pay and walk out anyway."
"I’ve been coming to them for years for the same hairstyle. (Kinky twist). They were supposed to be open at 8 which they usually are. They did not come until 9:30, then I had to wait another hour for the lady that does twists. They have new people now and they do not do a good job. Several braids have my hair sticking out and they are not straight or clean. She definitely rushed. The ends are unraveling after 1 day. They are also rude. The lady that was doing my hair kept calling my head big in a different language. She thought I couldn’t understand but she thought wrong. I won’t be back."
"Been about 6 years since I used this shop. They used to be great but this experience was horrible! I went for micros this time and noticed she was using synthetic hair. I've been getting micros on and off for years and they always use human hair. I said something to the first lady doing the front and she said it will be the same. I needed my hair braided and every body else was full so I continued. She was so rude and very unprofessional plus after 3 days the hair is shedding and knotting up every though I'm wrapping up and taking care of it. The 2nd lady was very nice and the work she did was good. BEWARE!!"
