"City of Cullman Police recommended Hays Towing for tow/storage after a Thanksgiving weekend accident. Took our insurance company 3 attempts, 7 days and storage fees($600), tow($250), fuel($40), mileage($72), and admin($300) to secure a transfer to body shop. Does not accept credit/debit cards as customer can dispute charges. No out-of-town checks even from large insurance carriers or their tow subcontractors. Customer can stop payment. That leaves certified check, money order or cash. Finally took half a day off work to drive 70 miles from Birmingham with $1,300 cash to rescue my vehicle and begin repair. Also, not open Fridays and warned to call in advance should owner and operator be out on calls. Also watch for yard dogs off the chain and a 20 mile drive into the country."
