Reviews
"The students extremely knowledgeable. They are lots of fun to be around. I will be making this place a weekly thing."
"Friendly and welcoming environment. My nails turned out good but the service was very unhygienic. I noticed that the foot bowls only got rinsed out with water and were not sprayed or soaked with a cleaning solution. The chairs were also not wiped down and dirt and debris had collected around the spray nozzle of the foot bowls. The owners son used the water from my bowl to rinse the exfoliating scrub from my legs instead of using a clean towel. The ambiance was very dated for the prices that were being charged"
"Terrible! The owner’s son polished my nails and did a pedicure. Not even a week later, the gel polish chipped off on my fingers and toenails. The only pro to going to this salon is that they accept walk ins."
"I absolutely love Tina and her son! They take the time to make sure you're satisfied and the atmosphere in the shop is great."
"This was my second time getting my nails done here after the place came highly recommended by my coworkers. The first time was great other than the guy who painted my nails didn't think they needed another coat of polish, even though you could clearly see the tip & outline of the nail bed through the polish (blue glitter polish), no biggie though. I was still happy with the service over all; Ms. Tina and her boys were very friendly and welcoming, easy to talk to, relaxed vibe, family atmosphere. I made plans to return & asked about nail art. She informed me her son could put anything on nails, with the exception jewels & other glue-ons. I asked about NFL team art & showed her a pic as an example. Both she & her son said not only could he do it, but that it was also a simple, easy design. Today I returned for a fill-in & asked about the NFL art again. Both of them again said they could do it. I debated whether to even post this review, especially with the pics of the finished product, because they both seemed very proud of the work even though it's nowhere near mediocre, it's just plain old bad. The polish doesn't cover my nail on some fingers, on others it's bleeding off onto my skin & into the other colors. The polish is streaked & uneven, both in appearance & texture. Three of the nails were filed into a crooked shape, 1 of them very obvious. The letters are streaked and blotchy, with the letter "O" shaped like a teardrop coming to an angular point. The fleur de lis is obviously lop-sided & if I didn't know what it was supposed to be, I'd think it was a mash-up of aerial views of a beluga whale & a Boeing 747. I'm not going to say I won't return, because I do like the atmosphere here & he seemed to take a lot of pride in his work, as well as having no complaints on my previous visit when I only got a fill-in & regular polish, so I will probably go back at some point. But I will not return for nail art or anything custom, including any shaping other than square/squoval or multiple colors. The quality & price of a single color fill-in/full set is great, it's the advertisement, repeated assurances, and billing of a service they cannot perform that I am very disappointed and unsatisfied with. I feel that if a shop is uncertain whether they can provide what a customer requests, they should say so. They should not continually claim they can, and routinely do, provide a service beyond their scope. Especially when it incurs extra charges & time. I will say in their defense that they were a bit distracted during my visit, (they were online shopping...but I get it, seriously, I really do lol-it was a slow afternoon and only 1 other client in the shop besides me), so maybe that had something to do with it? I don't know...I only know that I spent an hour and a half & $50 plus a $5 tip getting a fill-in for the big game Sunday versus the 49ers, and I'm so embarrassed by their look that I'm going to go over them with black polish to cover it all up before I even venture out to work in the morning while hoping I can find another shop in reasonable driving distance when I get off tomorrow...on a Saturday afternoon. In December during playoffs. During post black friday/pre holidays shopping season. Fun times. Wow...just really, really disappointed and embarrassed guys."
