"We had an excellent meal in an authentic looking English pub. My fish and chips were cooked very well. The fish was fried perfectly. Really crisp outer coating and flaky cod filet inside. Be sure to save room for dessert. They have some really good desserts. Everything we had was excellent. We will be back for sure."
"Loved this place and had an amazing first experience! My family is local and was hearing some mixed reviews, even the reviews online had some constructive criticism, but it is clear that the management is hearing the feedback and adapting. We did not have a bad thing to say! The service was attentive and friendly, amazing atmosphere with a cozy bar in the front, and the food was top notch! Can’t wait to go back and try more!"
"Been wanting to come here since it opened and decided to come for my birthday lunch. Was not disappointed. Fish and chips were the best I’ve ever had. Wife had the Boozer Chicken, also fantastic. She ate every bite. And even my daughter’s kids cheeseburger was great. Decided to get gelato as well. The lemon was VERY lemony (the waitress warned me) and also a great texture. Wife and daughter enjoyed theirs as well. Waitress was fantastic; hate I can’t remember her name or we’d definitely be requesting her in the future. Athens needed a place like this and we are already talking about returning."
"The pastrami sandwich was delicious, a thick cut pastrami "steak" on a hearty egg washed style thick bread was a cool and different take on an old classic. The fish and chips were amazing in flavor and crispy all the way around in texture. Multiple seating areas inside and outside, Multiple bar spaces, a great Gelato shop and a soon to be open butcher shop. A menu that has chicken tenders, fried shrimp, burger, and more allows for most people to find something they will eat."
"First time new place - decided to try it. Growing pains? Maybe. Atmosphere was nice - Rugby on the 'tele' - not American sports. Point added. Service was good save for the fact we asked for half/half tea - she tried 2 refills to get it right only to discover they filled the sweet tea container with unsweet. Point subtract. Not sure about the wood board platters and the 'to-go' boxes you get your meal served in. Trendy but not appealing. Point lost. Appetizer - 2 Chix Mac n Cheese fritters. Very nice. The 3 of us agreed we could just eat those for dinner. The 2 sauces we really liked. Aioli and the chimichurri (very light and tasty). My wife had a burger with fried green tomatoes on it - well presented. Liked the flavor. I had the boozy chicken - which is pink due to the marinade I was told by my server. The meat flavor was meh and cheese sauce was barely warm. All meals came with a pile of 'chips' (fries). Stale chips. Dry on the outside and barely warm like they had been sitting under a heat lamp for a while. All our chips were like that. We told our server and the manager brought us all a fresh batch. Much better but - English Pub should be on game when it comes to chips. Fail. My son got the Fish and Chips - looked great - nice crust. Then he cracked it open... and the smell of bad fish hit us hard. If I pulled fish from my fridge that smelled like that it's headed for the trash bin. But of course it didn't bother my teenager so he ate it any way. I was horrified. Fresh fish should never smell like fish especially old fish. Headed back , not any time soon."
