"I had my car towed thinking it was a transmission issue. They advised it was the engine missing. After an attempt to repair it still missed so they called and said they had to determine the other problem. Then they sat on it for about 2 months. The mechanic saying he wasnt sure what to do. I notified better business bureau of my issues. Later the owner called me and said they were unable to fix it. He told me he would credit my 892.00 to my debit card. After three weeks it still had not happened. Had my car towed to local Nissan dealer and they repaired it all in less than 2 week. Bottom line, the owner lied and said he would return my money but then he just didnt do anything about it. Poor business practices."
"Very slow. I was promised the truck on Monday, then Wednesday, then Thursday, and finally picked it up on Friday. The cost was more, by almost $100, than the estimate I had been given. Good work, but slow. I never received a call about the truck except when told the problem and the estimate."
"You drop your car off seven or eight days later no one calls you they tell your car is done and it cost $2000 to fix they fix my car with no approval I said OK paid the bill picked it up less than 10 days later I start to hear funky noise like something is loose then transmission fluid starts pouring all out of it end it won’t move they send a wrecker after it same thing car sits there for almost 4 weeks no one calls me tells me the car is done I come to pick it up drive home put about 400 miles on it guess what car won’t move call him they tell me to bring it in don’t even offer it to tow it back wake they came and got it finally Repeated the same thing 3Weeks later I called to check on my car how they say it’s ready to go said they had a fluid leak told me that park the car out front I come to pick it up it’s dark and raining guess what the car won’t start won’t crank nothing popped the hood the negative battery cable was loose reconnect it car still is dead as a hammer. It’s late it’s dark come back the next day car won’t even jumpstart the battery is so dead go to get a battery put a battery in it started and the emergency brake light won’t go off like they adjusted the emergency break wrong drive it home will never go back oh by the way when I went to pick it up the driver side floor board was full mud . Don’t take your car there"
"My car broke down about 20 miles south of Montgomery, and the Firestone on Maxwell AFB recommended this place as a reputable transmission specialist. My first impression walking in was not favorable, as the owners smoke indoors and it is not well maintained. I would say the highlight of this place is the employees, because they were super helpful and polite as my car was put into the garage. Be careful if you have insurance; once I brought up that my insurance might cover the work, the owner got really shady and kept telling me that it wasn't a good idea to contact my insurance company. I ended up leaving my car here for about a week and I heard no updates from the store and they wouldn't answer any phone calls. I decided I didn't want to conduct business with these folks anymore. When I finally got the owner on the phone, he protested that the job would cost me about $6,000, but calling around and showing the invoice to other mechanics in the area, they told me they would do the same job for about $4,000. I ended up having the car towed to the dealership because of the bad vibes I got with APT. In summary, I cannot attest to their expertise fixing the car, but I definitely didn't like their low level of professionalism. Two and a half stars."
"I contacted Alabama Precision Transmission to get an estimate on a new transmission for my Nissan. I spoke with Michael (Mike) and he worked hard and got me the best deal possible! He went above and beyond to get me what I needed and I would never go anywhere else!"
