"Beautiful groomed and tranquil trails. This site is one of my favorite small nature trails in West Bloomfield."
"Though it is smaller, and tucked close to main roads, this nature sanctuary provides a pleasant and peaceful escape from the city. Take the time to walk around the entire sanctuary, enjoying a distanced view of Orchard Lake and a up close and personal encounter with the Upper Straits Lake. You can walk directly down to the dock and get in the water even. The water is crystal clear and refreshing on a hot summer day. Plus, a variety of animals, such as squirrels, chipmunks, birds, fish, and more can be admired theoughout. Other than the homes practically sitting on top of the paths that go around the swamp area, this nature sanctuary is a beauty to behold."
"It's a beautiful place to walk around and see nature.....5 minutes from home."
"I always end up bringing a bag with me to pick up any garbage I find. It's very sad to see so much on the ground. The problem areas are by the parking lot and by the lake. It's a beautiful place to walk. So if everyone picks up after themselves, and helps keep the place clean I would be very happy."
"I love this small park! It is a mature forest environment with lots of huge oak trees and a nice small trail system. There is a small parking lot area near the entrance and it feels miles away from suburbia despite being right it in the middle of it. I highly recommend visiting if you have the chance :)"
