"The owner replied “best wishes,” which assures me that they don’t care about making sure their customers are pleased :) While the atmosphere is great, the service is alright as well as the food. For the price you pay, you’d think you’ll get great quality- it’s average food. I ordered enchiladas with ground beef and they were okay. The salsa is warm and tastes like a chargrilled pepper. The queso was great! The guacamole had pumpkin or sunflower seeds which threw me off- as well as sweet taste. The server was in a rush- moving very quickly. I appreciate the twist to Latin food- but I’m going to stick to the places I know!"

"El Zunzun is a really fun place to try in Birmingham. My dining partner and I enjoyed an array of dishes. The steak served over grilled cactus was quite good. We also enjoyed the mole trio. My only complaint is that the prices are rather high. I do recommend familiarizing yourself with the menu prior to dining, as it is a lot to take in."
