"A very nice restaurant hidden away in the Heart of Mountain Brook. We visited The Porch on a Sunday for brunch. The staff was very welcoming. The food was reasonably priced. We ordered the Porch Breakfast plate and a Fried Chicken Sandwich with Bacon."
"Food was good but the service was a bit awkward and could have been better overall. Would probably go back and visit again sometime though."
"Found this restaurant out and about. Very delicious! Got grilled chicken sandwiches with fries. The fries are delicious. Seated quickly and service was great!"
"Had an amazing birthday luncheon with friends at this trendy place. Diverse menu and great veg options to choose from. I had the farro bowl and it was delectable. They have a large patio space, we preferred to be seated outside to inside. The service was warm and cordial. The only suggestion would be that they could work more on their cocktail menu."
"Birmingham is a foodie town and there are many good choices, but rarely does a restaurant meal inspire us to want to recreate the meal at home. Porch was an exception. In our first visit we ordered oko pancake and truffled farro bowl. Being an Asian I am quite familiar with savory Asian pancakes, and oko pancake tasted very authentic - crispy and tender, spiciness to the point and not overpowering. Now the truffled farro bowl was something we've never tried. We were intrigued by the name and - was it a good choice! Truffle oil (I am guessing white truffle oil?) paired really well with the sourness of the balsamic, sweetness of the beets, nuttiness of the farro, and creaminess of the goat cheese. We liked it so much that we went to buy grocery to try to make it at home. We will come back again."
