"This place is a fav amoungst the locals. However, if you are a fan of smoked meats, then this is not the place for you. The smoked brisket had an almost imperceptible pink ring, and lacked a playful saltiness that is expected in a rub. The smoke flavor was non-existent, as they throw the beautiful angus brisket in the oven to speed up the cooking process. It was explained to me that the meats were prepped to best pop with what they call chow chow sauce, which is a mustard based dip that is not bbq sauce, leading me to conclude that the owners decided to sacrifice quality for novelty. My advice;. Do not bring this so called bbq to anywhere outside Alabama. Soulmans, or that place in Ina, IL is far more superior than this mockery they call bbq. As a side note, they do not offer a three meat plate."

"Just left Full Moon BBQ Dothan Al for a father's day meal. What a very disappointing time. First I was not at all impressed with the food. The baby back ribs were tough on the outside. I have had much better potato salad. The baked beans were the best part of the meal. As for the BBQ Sauce totally don't get how they can call it award winning. The bathrooms were totally disgusting no soap floors filthy and unsanitary. No paper towels and my wife complained about the women's restroom as well.Hope management reads this."

"First of all, my Wife tried to call the Jasper store this afternoon and every time, she said it was like someone answered and hung up on her. She checked the Website, and for Christmas Eve... they were going to close at 9:00 PM.... but stated that the hours may differ. After my Wife drove approximately 35 miles round trip, there was a note on the door that they closed at 3:00! Kindly DO NOT advertise that you’ll be open to a certain hour and then close 6 hours early! Total waste of our time, gas and effort! That’s OK though, another business picked up a substantial order..... Maybe it will help them through the pandemic"

"I purchased a Two Meat combo with Beef Brisket and Smoked Chicken from the Trussville location, and out of all of my Full Moon visits that was the worst. The Brisket looked like nothing but fat and it was not sliced. There was no sauce on the chicken like it usually is on my other visits. And my sides which were Fries and Okra the serving size was less than what a toddler would get at a daycare. Now I know that this is not the standard at Full Moon which is my favorite BBQ place. I do not wish to get anything else from that particular location anytime soon."

"Called to lodge a complaint regarding food quality at Hoover, AL and Homewood, AL locations. The lady that took my complaint did not seem interested in my issue or cconcers that are not one off, but have happened multiple times. She was very dull and uninterested in what I had to say as well as pretty much rushed me off the phone... If this is how loyal customer to Full Moon restaurant franchises are treated; I say do not bother with dealing with the Hoover or Homewood listed in this review or the corporate office. I'm extremely disappointed with Hoover /Homewood locations and now the corporate office. I must add that I have only experienced service and food quality issues at those locations. Never, have I had ANY issues with the Pelham, AL or Alabaster, AL locations!!! SIDE NOTE: HOOVER AND HOMEWOOD IS OWED BY THE SAME GUY."
