"Great place for a hike. Well established trails and great scenery."
"One of my absolute favorite places to hike. The preserve is enormous, the trails are well taken care of and sometimes you can visit without ever seeing another person, even when there are cars in the parking lot! Such a big area to explore! Dog friendly too (with a leash) and there are even 2 restrooms (by parking lot and near lake)."
"This is what I love about hiking. The totally unexpected hidden gems you find right in your own backyard. Just a couple miles beyond Warren Woods State park on Warren Woods road you will find the Chikaming Township park and preserve. It has 6+ miles of hiking and mountain biking trails. Several of the trails meander through a forest area that borders a river. Trails are a combination of packed dirt, mowed grass, paved and handmade wooden and brick crossings in muddier areas. Kid friendly, dog on leash friendly and free. There are some hills here and in many places the signs will tell you at an intersection which path is easy and which is harder. Well signed and they have open pit bathrooms. Parking lot is good sized and there is an overflow area down further in the park by the pavilion."
"What a fantastic set of trails for hikers and especially for mountain bikers. Everything is so well-marked. The volunteers who built these trails esp. the mountain biking ones have really created a gem. Bravo! You have signs at forks that mark the easy trails as well as the challenging ones - enough to get the pulse-racing for even the most hardcore riders. The scenery is stunning too, from rugged wooded trails with root ruts to ravines to pine forests to man-made hurdles like wood bumps and bridges, dips into streams to lake-side trails. Rode for almost 6 miles through these trials and wanted to do it all over again- it was that good. Thank you for your efforts- it’s right off Warren woods near the excellent Lakeside Cabins resort"
"A must see and go to park. The hiking trails are endless and we'll marked. Kid and pet friendly. It gives you options on level of trails and it is just breathtaking of river views."
