"I postponed coffee (technically, I couldn't find anyone decent that was open) and made it to the beach in time for sunrise. Magical. This early in the morning,t hey were not enforcing the parking so I had an hour of free parking, some beautiful onshore breezes and a view that was disturbed only by the seagulls. Sandy beaches, a great view, peace and quiet. What more would you possibly need other than coffee?"
"I must say this is one of the best beaches of Lake Michigan . They have shower place & washroom . Clean beach with scenic beauty , plenty of parking spot . They city itself is pretty too ."
"Brilliant! Breathtaking! Such an incredible find and so close to our cities in Chicago!! We love this beach and will back for more soon enough!! The weather was incredible, the food stand had everything we could've asked for and we felt like the Jaws movie scenery and beauty of Martha's Vineyard was right in front of us not too far from home in Michigan!! Such a wonderful adventure and we came back in the morning and stayed overnight just to get the MOST out of it!!!"
"Clean beach with a parking lot (pay) and bathrooms (open during the day). Parking is $7.50 for 3 hours or $20 for all day. Small lighthouse and a playground in the sand. Beautiful boardwalk and stairs to climb above the dunes for a view. Sand is a bit rough. Lots of rocks. Crowded on summer days. Go in the morning! Great spot for a walk before the crowds."
