"Nice place. Didn't see or heard any birds (waterfowl or otherwise) at all, which I found strange. There was insects, though. Bees mostly. Didn't see evidence of arachnids of any kind (not saying there wasn't any, I just didn't see them), but I just read another review cautioning about ticks, so there's that. Peaceful. Then, suddenly, heard gunshots. Yes, hunting is allowed there. Or maybe it was somebody doing target shooting. But still there was some kind of quietness. In any case, I’ll remember to wear blaze orange next time, just in case. And tick repellent, if such a thing exists."

"I use this park for amateur radio operations. Not many visitors, on a busy road however. Watch out for ticks in the weeds/grass, they are numerous recently."

"Went Hunting saw a few Canadian geese, but I recommended some thick pants so that the prickles plants don’t cut you I learn that the hard way, and bring waders for hunting"
