Holiday Inn Express Hastings, an IHG Hotel

"I've stayed here a few times. The property, rooms and lobby are very clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. My last check in they advised me that there were kids on my floor that were being noisy and offered to move my room to another floor. I have definitely been at other hotels I wish would do that. The pool also has adult only hours. I believe after 9pm. Update. Stayed for new years. There's a trolly that runs every half hour to the town center for the festivities."

"I had to live in this Hotel for 10 weeks after my house got basically burned to the ground. It’s a typical Holiday Inn……but good breakfast choices, good service, and a fairly clean place. There was nothing that really stood out to say NOT to stay there. One awesome perk……pet friendly rooms on the first floor. I had a sitter for my Rottweiler during most of the stay, but brought him in any time I wanted to stay w us. There are restrictions to where they can go, but for the most, your fur baby can more than stay w you at this establishment….. love it!!"

"September 2023 was my wife's and my first time staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Hastings, Michigan. Check-in was smooth but was immediately followed by issues with the key cards. Though the front desk employee was pleasant and quickly resolved the issue, this was just the start of a series of disappointments. Our room was notably small and dim, even with all the lights on. It emitted an unusual, damp odor, possibly from the proximity to the pool, and was furnished with a broken lamp shade. One of the worst issues was the remarkably loud bed and headboard which made for a restless night, as every slight movement caused a disruption, raising concerns about disturbing neighboring guests. The bed was comfort though! Our experience with the indoor pool was equally underwhelming due to its uncleanliness and unsatisfactory water temperature. Despite these setbacks, the breakfast service shined as a rare positive aspect. Though the options were limited, the attendant's warm and friendly demeanor made the meal enjoyable. While the lobby maintained a standard of cleanliness, it couldn’t compensate for the overall lack of comfort and quality during our stay. As a regular patron of IHG hotels, this establishment unfortunately stands out as one of my more subpar experiences. The hotel has room for improvement to meet the standards that frequent guests like myself have come to expect from the IHG brand."

"Pros: friendly staff, immaculate and clean hotel. Comfortable beds and pillows. Amazing variety for breakfast Cons: I got a room by the elevator and the elevator dings loudly when it reaches a floor, the gap under my door would have accommodated a good contortionist and I had to lay a towel down to keep the light out. The digital clock probably used to be a prison spotlight because I had to cover the display with my phone to keep it dim In the morning, I saw the groundskeepers backed into a parking space (illegal) and with a trailer hitch covering half the sidewalk (illegal and dangerous for disabled people like my father who can’t see well) Overall a satisfying stay but needs to have a talk with the groundskeepers"
