"Retired military… worked for two of the largest auto parts retailers so I have experience with the process of greeting the customer as well as customer service. I walked in the store and noticed a young lady sitting at the register on her cell phone. No greeting whatsoever… walked to the back of the store to try and locate the paint section. The store is exactly opposite in layout compared with the store where I was employed. Found a male employee kneeling down working on merchandise. Asked him to direct me to the paint section. He stood and walked me over and moved his arm to direct me in the right direction. I felt as though it was a task that he had to stop what he was doing to do so. I walked up to the register to pay and the young lady put her phone down in order to ring up the merchandise. She rang up the order and I paid with my card. I don’t know that I have ever been in an Advance Auto and it was just like no one wanted to be there. I could go though the procedure for greeting customers and customer service but what I really would like to know is the manager’s name and even the District manager’s name. Hate to but I’ll be shopping at their competitors going forward."
