"The park is named for my grandparents, Frank and Sarah Thatcher. It is a beautiful setting along Crockery Creek, with lovely trails and and a fun playground area for children, a great slide down the hill commencing where I played behind the family home....the present site of the Ravenna water tower, and a gazebo, a water wheel and picnic area with a pavillion and restrooms. It's an excellent venue for reunions, family gatherings and weddings. Our family is very proud of Thatcher Park. Duane Thatcher"
"A beautiful park set in the small town of Ravenna. The park has a great place for family party's, with two picnic areas. This park has a huge slide and a decent playground. There is crockery creek that runs the north side of the park that has a good trout, sucker population. It is very dog friendly. The restrooms are adequate for your needs."
"Great family park. Picnic tables , gazebos available. Benches for bird watching or reading books. They even have a little box with books in it to read. Or you can add books for others to read"
"A beautiful well kept path along the river. Plenty of easy walking that goes threw a quaint wooded area with a over look of the river. Nice okay area for the kids, a rather long side any kid or kid at heart would enjoy, a covered gazebo with a nice view of the park. There is a small little free library here, pavilion, bathroom and a lovely observation area with wooden tables overlooking the river and a water mill! Wheelchair friendly, pets on a leash and easy access to this hidden gem! A hand down must see spot the whole family would enjoy!"
"Nice park for a short hike or picnic. Plenty of picnic tables and benches. Playground for kids. Special super slide in the back. On site restrooms. Nice views on the trail. Boardwalk path as well as a creek trail."
