"We stopped and put our kayaks in and paddled upstream. The current is really quite slow and lazy. We have no trouble paddling up a good mile and a half. We ran out of time so we drifted back and it took just about as long to get back. Highly recommend this spot for kayaking and was terrific. The water is clear. The bottom looks rather sandy and there are very few if any obstructions. We like to see critters and wildlife but unfortunately nothing was out on this paddle. But the area looks like it should have a lot of wildlife around at times."
