"The restaurant scene in Jefferson and Shelby Counties has a serious shortage of vegetable offerings... This is one of the rare "meat & 3" cafeteria-style places. Unfortunately, it's just not all that good. We'd probably eat there again anyway if in that area & hungry for vegetables though just because it's what's available."
"A little taste of home.. I moved here a few months ago. I really missed family home cooking and I finally found my place. You know how that familiar taste of your grandmother's cooking brings such peace and joy to your heart? Yeah that's this place. I had the chicken and dumplings and it was like a taste of my grandmothers, to which she has been gone for 15 years so I usually make them myself. Not to mention it's ran by some really nice folks. Thanks for making my whole week!"
"Great food, didn't like the panko breading on fried green tomatoes buttered new potatoes are cut up reds...which is ok but not as expected. Other than that everything was wonderful and had no need of extra seasoning (a little salt) Sweet tea is incredible. Cabbage was cooked perfectly. Cornbread (jalapeno and regular) was a delight as it wasn't dried out and stale like other restaurants (cough..cracker barrel) Can't wait to try more entrees."
"Can’t believe I’ve passed this place my whole life and just stopped today. Food was amazing! If you are looking for some feel good, affordable, home style, comfort food this is the place to go. Bonus points because they’re open until 8 and they have a drive thru!"
"I came here almost 5yrs ago while traveling from up north. This week I had a chance to revisit this place. The atmosphere was good, service was okay... I personally love a waiter that's friendly and welcoming but we didn't get that experience This time. I still tipped her though. 2 plates for $25 kinda pricey considering one was a kids plate. The receipt don't break down the price either. That's kinda suspicious to me but that's neither here nor there today!! Food could've been better this time. Mac was overcooked but tasty and chicken was very dry (overcooked) but tasty. Overall I'm not discouraged from coming again to have a third experience. I dont eat pork or care for fried foods so more options would've been nice for people like me. Maybe baked chicken would've been good since they was serving fried pork chops. A balanced between foods are important especially for a foodie."
