"This WAS a plain beef slider with cheese and a side of onion rings. SOOOOO GOOD. It was my first time here and I’m a picky burger!! Wow! Really?!?! How have I missed this place!! Will return!!!"

"Though the lunch is great too, it is tough for me to get there at that time of day, so by default this is my favorite place for breakfast. Big Spring Cafe is spacious and comfortable, and always exceptionally clean. The service is great. The people are always courteous and friendly. You can tell by their smiles and pleasant attitudes that they actually enjoy their jobs. Most of them have been there for a while too. It is very reassuring to see the same friendly faces every time you visit. The food is down home good, and the menu is on the "country" side of things. It has all the classic stuff you are used to seeing, but there are also several delicious selections from back in the day that you probably just can't find anywhere else. Big Spring Cafe is a throwback to a time when our town was a much smaller place, and everybody knew everybody else. This is the restaurant's 3rd location that I can remember, yet they have always managed to keep the "hometown vibe" that makes it a fun, unique and special place. Though the latest location on Governors Dive is completely modern in every sense of the word, it is definitely a historic, "Huntsville original" dining experience. Check it out."

"I had heard of this place for years and finally tried it. The burger was tasty, but just a bit small for the price. Whatever you do, don't try the chili cheese fries; they are terrible. The chili had no flavor (more like just cooked ground beef), and the fries were cold. If you order a side, make it the onion rings because they cook them to order and they were pretty good. Can't say I would go back."
