"For being a rustic place to stay it is very secluded and friendly place to park our camper while exploring the island."

"Our group loved Township Park. We had 8 campsites for our crew and was very peaceful and enjoyable. A few helpful details - it is first come, first serve (no reservations) - parking for vehicles with a trailer full of quads was a bit tight. But do-able, especially if you can back up a trailer well. - I had Verizon and had service everywhere at camp. - they had a few spots with power, but we camped in the back lot where they didn’t have power. - we did see a generally friendly black bear by the trash one night, and heard another couple had their food eaten overnight. - beach on the east side of camp was sandy, all other places had lots of rocks & leaches at night."

"The park is first come first serve and we'll worth the drive to the island. Nice quiet neighbors and the sounds for the water. Couldn't ask for a better weekend getaway. Drop toilet bathrooms are well kept, water is available along with some electric sites."

"We winter camped there. The sites are great with choices of waterfront or more wooded. We suggest on windy nights, a bit farther back from direct waterfront is best. Drive back to the far loop before you choose your spot!"
