"I come up here every November for deer camp. I decided to bring my family up this summer so they could enjoy this experience. Clean and comfortable Cabins. Beautiful views. I recommend Thunder Lake Cabins to anyone looking to get away"
"This is a great place to go if you need to get away from the city and connect with nature. The owners Joe and Sue are the two most wonderful people. I can’t wait to go back!"
"The best place on earth!!! The place is like heaven!!! The owners are wonderful people! We caught so many fish! Saw alot of toads and turtles! Deer walk through the area. The birds in the morning seem to be talking to you when you walk down the dock! Eagles have a nest across the lake! Cabins are immaculate....I know cuz every time I caught the lady to chat with her she was deep cleaning. She still made time to chat with me though! I'm very blessed to have been able to spend some time at this place! Will be returning every vacation and even on small road trips!!"
"As a teen in the 60's I, mom, dad and 5 brothers/sisters vacationed there for several years; I believe the cabins were owned by the Donovan family. Regardless, the lake and area is the closest to heaven one can imagine. One day I was on the lake when the trees began to tremble and there was a LOUD bass sound from the sky. I looked up and there was the largest plane I had ever seen: A B52 ! If only I could return for a couple of weeks, sigh!"
"What a wonderful place to stay. Close enough to attractions like pictured Rocks, Oswalds Bear Ranch, Tahquamenon Falls, and Kitch-iti-Kipi, but far enough to be in the middle of nowhere, quiet, relaxing and great fishing on the lake. Beautiful sunsets and star gazing. The hosts are amazing, Cabins are perfect, clean and cozy. Will definitely be back. 2 weeks next time. 1 just wasn't enough."
