"My new favorite spot!!"
"bring your own tp, as none was there when we were. two deer standing in the river and the camera wasn't handy."
"Four campsites, two directly on the riverbank. No fees. Ample blueberry picking throughout the campground in mid-July. Bring enough drinking water for your entire stay; there’s no well here. The vault toilet was clean and had toilet paper. Sites looked freshly mowed. Each includes a picnic table and fire ring. Fantastic maintenance efforts for a free campground. Though this place feels off the beaten path, it’s just a mile from paved highway. The gravel road from there is well maintained. One shouldn’t run into any issues getting here in a smaller car. There was evidence of recent campers at all four campsites, though no sites were occupied on a July Sunday afternoon. The day-use parking area at the entrance is popular with fishermen and paddlers."
"Nice only about 5 campsites!"
"The few sites are located on the north branch of the Paint river, a stones throw away from where the south branch meets the north. The pit toilet was relatively clean and was complete with hand sanitizer but was out of paper products. I come prepared for such situations. In a small ziplock freezer bag, half sheets of Bounty fit in perfectly. Another small bag has a 12oz bottle of water and sanitizer. Using leaves is just not an option. The sites are 1st come, 1st serve. No garbage facilities, take out what you bring in...please. This area is beautiful. There is a small area where you can park a few cars right at the confluence. Although I didn't land a trout over 8", after a few hours, the rain was my eventual deterrent from staying. I draw the line when thunder strikes up. I will return..."
