"The national forest campground adjacent to this landing is no longer maintained, though there’s still a large grassy area here ideal for a picnic or dispersed camping. The full extent of the former campground is still open to vehicle traffic, though sites are slightly overgrown. The water pump no longer has a handle and the vault toilets have signs indicating they’re unavailable for use. If nothing else, this place is worth a walk around to catch a glimpse of a recently-closed campground as it becomes overtaken with vegetation. The lakeshore appears swimmable at the large grassy area next to the boat landing."
