"I have no idea what the positive reviews about this place are, but they must be paid to say they’re review or delusional. This campground is horrible. It’s a “renovated” industrial mine from the looks of it, and it is trash central. There is broken glass EVERYWHERE, the tent sites are abysmal at best. They’re uneven, filled with massive stones or nothing but stones, and the pictures online are far from reality. My family was so excited to visit here but once we showed up.. it looked like something out of a horror movie. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting.. my wife got a UTI after using their restroom. She said the toilet seat had a film of urine so she had to hover above the toilet to use the restroom. Dog friendly…? They say keep pets on a leash, meanwhile, the owners/employee walks around with their dog loose, i almost hit the thing entering the campground so watch out. One of the cabins had old wooden furniture and kids toys outside as if someone lived there for 10+ years, and there is trash all over the place. They do NOT maintain the campsites, and after viewing our site (P2) we thought maybe try a different one… 7 campsites filled with trash and glass later we decided maybe just stick with P2 and pray for the best. If you’re looking for a SAFE, CLEAN, and FUN campground.. avoid this place at all costs. Spend the same or a little more or less on a state park campground, or anywhere else really. You won’t be sorry. I know I sound like a Karen but I literally have never left a review on Google.. good or bad, in my entire life. This place was so horrid, I couldn’t help but warn others. Take it from a father of 2 kids, and an infected wife… do not stay here."
"This campsite has the best location and convenience to trails and hiking because of its quick access to the main roads around there. We came up for a weekend of trailing and we were super glad to find this place because it allowed us more time to spend trailing and hiking. Has firepits, running water, picnic tables and plenty of shaded areas. The best part was our campground manager, Justin. Justin was at our service from the second we pulled in to make sure our time up here was spent to the fullest. He was our tour guide, area expert, secret beach and trail coordinator, trail rescuer, and incredibly friendly. He took the time to make sure we took the trails safely and even got us unstuck at one point with his own equipment. If it wasn’t for him we would have missed a lot. We’re definitely coming back up to revisit next year!"
"Probably THE coolest place I’ve ever been to. If you’re looking for an interesting adventure and a unique place to stay, you gotta check this place out. A shipping container with one king sized bed and a bunk bed is plenty of space for 4-5 to sleep. All this is right next to an abandoned mine. The views are awesome here. I would recommend this place to any of the adventure junkies."
"This campsite was amazing! The worker there was so kind and very helpful when you needed it. On top of that everything was organized well, very peaceful, quiet, beautiful forest, and really cool buildings for you to sleep in. But to mention they provide you with free firewood. Looking forward to going there next time! Best campsite ever!"
"Really cramped. There's a decent number of sites but that's only because we're all packed tightly. No privacy. No picnic tables on site like a lot of other sites either. It's right next to a decrepit looking industrial building that's apparently still in use. The trail in the campsite is narrow and rugged, you don't need an suv, but it would be preferable. There's lots of mosquitoes. Fortunately the campsites are all on woodchips and not rocky dirt one Porta potty and an out of place playset for little kids"
