"Great stopover in-between Calumet and Houghton to relax, have a mini conference with friends in the picnic tables arena, take children for hikes around the pond, and look at the waterfowl and water lilies in the pond."

"Very nice area! Maps are mostly accurate but their trails aren't well maintained towards the ends of some rustic footpath trails. Less than a mile of trails all together. Large pavilion and bathroom. Perfect spot for nature viewing & they do have plans to improve trails over time."

"Probably one of the closer hidden gems. Despite the closeness to the airport, it is a very good spot to star gaze and catch the northern lights. If you can make it out to the dock in winter you're in for a treat."
